Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Thoughts feelings behavior triangle of CBT

Cognitive behavioral therapy or #cbt is an evidence based psychotherapy for various psychiatric disorders.

An important foundational teaching of CBT involved the thoughts feelings behaviors triangle.

Each part of the triangle influences the other. When experiencing a symptom or a problem, there can be problematic thoughts feelings or behaviors that feed into each other. Understanding the factors at play and learning skills to modify, change, or reframe our thoughts feelings and behaviors can lead to symptom reduction and meaningful change.
