Integrated Care

Dr. Sayer provides both psychotherapy and medication management when clinically appropriate, offering a seamless, coordinated treatment experience without the need to manage multiple providers. When serving in a medication consultation or second-opinion role, he collaborates with your existing therapists, physicians, and treatment team—with your consent—to ensure continuity of care.

Education and Training

Dr. Sayer earned his medical degree from UCLA and completed his psychiatry residency as well as fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Columbia and Cornell (New York-Presbyterian Hospitals). His training reflects a commitment to evidence-based, academically rigorous care.

Freedom from Insurance Constraints

As an out-of-network practice, treatment decisions are guided by clinical needs rather than insurance requirements. Visit length, frequency, and treatment approach are tailored to each patient, allowing for a more personalized and comprehensive level of care.

Insurance Reimbursement Support

Superbills are provided for each visit, allowing patients to seek reimbursement directly from their insurance plans according to their out-of-network benefits.

Bicoastal Care

Licensed in California and New York, Dr. Sayer is uniquely positioned to work with individuals and families who divide their time between both states. This flexibility is especially valuable for professionals with residences in multiple locations, as well as families with children attending school or college away from home.

"Dr. Sayer is always very professional and makes me feel comfortable opening up. I haven't had the best experiences getting professional help but working with Dr. Sayer has been a surprisingly positive experience. He's been able to understand my perspective and gives great advice. If anyone is considering going to him for the first time, they definitely should. I'm extremely happy I made that decision and will continue to see him."

What patients say

What clinicians say

"I've had the pleasure of collaborating with Dr. Sayer on a number of shared cases, and I've genuinely valued working with him. He's sharp, thoughtful, and connects easily with patients. Dr. Sayer identifies and treats a broad array of mental health conditions ranging from ADHD, anxiety, or more complicated mood difficulties. He's especially intuitive in his work with adolescents and families, and I appreciate how he keeps treatment focused instead of overloading people with medications. I have incredible confidence in Dr. Sayer's work as a psychiatrist and character as an entrusted colleague."
